DCL creates stylish swag for Ringorang.
GLENDALE, CA – Interactive pioneer Vergence Entertainment [“Vergence”] today announced that it will take its innovative ideas to the press. The t-shirt press, that is. And in distinct Vergence fashion, they intend to give the shirts a look unlike any other.
Responsible for that unique look is Dreamentia Creative Laboratories [“Dreamentia”], a Los Angeles-based creative agency that has been one of Vergence’s key contributors since its early days. Along with designing the shirts, Dreamentia has also become a pivotal player in Vergence’s overall creative development.
“I really love the mark we developed for the Ringorang brand,” said DCL CCO Jim Olen, “as I think it’s both memorable and meaningful at the same time - the two things that I think are the most important factors in determining a good, solid logo. And designing the first round of swag as prizes for Ringorang players was one of the more enjoyable assignments we’ve had as of late. In fact, we had to kick our Art Directors out of the office at night to get them to go home and stop working on different design ideas.
“We even went so far as designing Ringorang sweat suits and designer jeans. Yeah, maybe we went a little nuts.”
“There are so many designs left over that we could easily throw a pretty cool fashion show for the brand one of these days. In fact, that might be an interesting tactic to pursue down the road. I gotta write that down…”
The Vergence swag stems from the company’s current-of-many claims to fame, Ringorang, which is a 24-hour trivia game that plays you five days a week. It features Vergence’s proprietary technology.
Vergence and Dreamentia have been working together since 2004.
